Sometimes we feel stuck during the wintertime. It's cold, it's snowy, we're cooped up in our homes. To help you battle the seasonal depression and boredom, I've put together a list of different things you can do when it's cold and nasty outside.

1. Pickleball

If there's one thing many of us like to do in Bismarck-Mandan, it's play Pickleball. Capital Racquet, Mandan Tennis Center, and BSC Aquatic Center all have courts you can use to get out of the cold and work up a sweat.

2. Movies

If you're looking for something to do on a cold North Dakota day, go to the movies. Grand 22 plays a bunch of new releases and even several classics. Stay warm and get nostalgic with a movie date.

3. Axe Throwing

The cold weather makes us a little feral, so blow off some steam with a little axe-throwing. Chucker's Sports Bar and Laughing Sun are great spots to do this.

Bonus points if you master the ninja star.

4. Escape Rooms

We're locked indoors all winter, why not lock yourself into a room with a riddle?

5. Tilt Studio

You might think the Kirkwood Mall's Tilt Studio is just for kids, but as an adult who's gone there myself, I can confirm that it is a blast. Jumbo claw machines, go karts, bowling, there's a ton of fun things to try there. They even have a taco bar where they serve margaritas.
