Bismarck Police Respond to Man with Machete at North Walmart

Bismarck police were called to the North Walmart in Bismarck today (Jan. 10) just before 11 a.m. after reports of a man with a weapon.

According to Bismarck police, a man was waving a machete and yelling incoherently.

Police attempted to convince the man to put the machete down however the man was not listening to orders. A Bismarck police officer opted to use a taser at which point the individual was taken into custody.

The man was identified as Darvens H. Jean Mary, a 25 year old from Bismarck. He was arrested for terrorizing.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
