The North Dakota State Bison welcomed the University of North Dakota back to the Fargo with open arms, defeating them 34-9 behind a four touchdown passing game from quarterback Carson Wentz.

UND scored the first and last points of the game, a field goal and a 1-yard touchdown run respectively, but the rest of the game was controlled by the Bison.

Wentz was 18-27 for 262 yards and four touchdowns in the Bison victory. Wide receiver RJ Urzendowski caught five of those passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The other two touchdown passes from Wentz went to Darius Shepherd and Chase Morlock.

This was the first meeting between NDSU and UND as Division I opponents. The two teams last met in 2003. This was the 111th meeting between the Bison and UND.

The Bison are off until October 3rd when they head to Brookings, SD to take on South Dakota State. UND, meanwhile, will welcome UC Davis to Grand Forks next weekend, September 26th.
