A Cass County police officer suffered an injury while making an arrest on Friday (Jan 29).

Sheriff's Deputy Thomas Behm was processing a man who had reported to the Sheriff's Office for court-ordered sobriety testing, when he discovered there was an active arrest warrant in the city of Fargo on the man.

When Behm attempted to detain the suspect, the man resisted, resulting in new court charges for the suspect and a dislocated shoulder for Behm.

The suspect was taken into custody, and will possibly face charges of assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest, along with the charges that spurred the warrant, though formal charges have not yet been filed.
