‘China Food Perfect’ Opens In North Bismarck
Attention all foodies!
There's a new Chinese restaurant in North Bismarck, and business is booming. Located on 43rd Ave, near Crumbl Cookies, sits 'China Food Perfect'. It opened over the weekend (Saturday, March 12th) and is owned and operated by Meiying and Chuck Edin.
How did it happen?
I sat down and spoke to the couple; they told me getting a restaurant up and running in Bismarck has been a long-time goal.
Chuck, a Bismarck native, runs the business end of things, but he says all the credit goes to his wife, Meiying. He calls her a 'one-woman dynamo.'
Getting to know Meiying
You may know Meiying - she's become somewhat of a fixture in the Bisman community. She's worked at the Bismarck High School, the YMCA, and even the Hampton Inn & Suites. She spent several years learning English and working throughout Bismarck, but she never lost sight of her ultimate dream. It was back in March of 2021 when that dream started to become a reality, and things really started to come together.
While 'China Food Perfect' is her first restaurant in Bismarck, she's no newbie. Meiying has been a chef for 23 YEARS! She owned multiple restaurants in Nanning, China, a city home to more than 7 million people. WOWZA!
Fun Fact
You may notice that the restaurant has a unique logo. It was drawn by non-other than Chuck Edin himself! Chuck also tells me they even have a mantra for the restaurant, "The food is perfect... China food perfect".
Now, what's next?
EATING, OF COURSE! The food is described as 'authentic' Chinese cuisine. You can dine-in, take out, or even have it delivered. And, if you're looking for a job, they are still hiring.
