Completion of North Bismarck Shopping Center Delayed

If you're looking forward to the completion of the Hay Creek Shops project, which will bring new stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Ulta Cosmetics and Michaels to Bismarck, you'll have to be patient a bit longer than expected.

Landowner Ron Knutson is negotiating a deal with new developers following Woodmont Co.'s default on the purchase of the land. Knutson believes some of Woodmont's financing may have fallen through, leading to the default. He is currently in talks with a development company that is based here in North Dakota. The deal is not yet finalized, but Knutson is confident it will be very soon.

Should Knutson and the new developers strike a deal, construction is planned to resume in a couple of weeks.
