Conan Hosts Patriots and Seahawks’ Mortal Kombat X Fight Before the Super Bowl
Watch Conan O'Brien host a pre-Super Bowl brawl between Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski, tight end for the New England Patriots, and Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch, running back for the Seattle Seahawks.
Conan O'Brien's latest Clueless Gamer segment featured a unique preview of Sunday's big Super Bowl game between the Patriots and the Seahawks. Two of the most popular players of both teams, Rob Gronkowski and Marshawn Lynch, were brought together to play a few rounds of Mortal Kombat X with Conan officiating. The results were hilarious. The two athletes remember playing the older versions of the Mortal Kombat series when they were younger, but they weren't expecting anything as crazy as MKX. Watching Cassie Cage's split-punch X-ray attack was a completely different kind of ball-deflation that the Patriots have never seen before. Our favorite parts? Watching the guys' reactions to the Quan Chi Fatality and Gronk giving Conan back his custom-made Mortal Kombat trophy. We're also glad to see Gronkowski and Lynch get together so well before the big game.
Cassie Cage will be back for more ball-destroying gore when Mortal Kombat X launches on April 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Super Bowl XLIX will feature the New England Patriots facing the Seattle Seahawks Feb. 1 at 6:30 PM EST on NBC.
That Quan Chi Fatality is just too gnarly.
