Don’t Be This Guy Running in Bismarck

When you run at night, don't wear black.

This should be common sense but apparently it isn't. Fortunately, I am a very attentive and alert driver so there were no issues. I let this runner run unharmed across the street and he went on his way.

But as you can see in the picture above taken from my dash cam, he was wearing a black shirt! Why would you run at night wearing a black shirt? Wear a brighter color shirt or invest the $10 in a reflective vest.

Check out the picture below when my car lights are no longer fully on the runner. He completely disappears into the night and all that can be seen are a pair of legs. This is because his shorts, even though you cannot tell from the first picture, are also mostly black. It just happened to have a small white stripe on the side.

One of the easiest ways to stay safe is being intelligent. This guy is not intelligent.
