
Facebook Lawsuit Payments Rolling Out To North Dakotans This Week
I don't know if you signed up for this awhile back, but in 2023 Facebook was accused of allowing third parties (advertisers, data brokers, and app developers) to access user's personal information and profiles without their permission. Even though Facebook denied any wrongdoing, Meta Platforms agreed to pay a large sum of money to users.

The $725 million settlement to Facebook users who filled out an application. Payments started rolling out in September of 2025. Now it appears a second round of payments have been paying out this week, so if you haven't been paying attention or checking your mail, you might want to get on it.

I actually checked my Gmail account today, first I noticed that my unread messages have gotten up to a very impressive number - 49,692 unread messages. Anyway, the second thing I noticed was that I had been notified about a second settlement payment. I quickly opened my Venmo, and sure enough, Facebook had paid me a whopping $6.85. Some people will receive this by mailed check or cash app or PayPal. Make sure you check your accounts for the money.
