FCS National Champion NDSU to be Recognized at Twins Game
This Saturday (April 28th), North Dakota State University's national championship football team will be recognized prior to the Minnesota Twins baseball game at Target Field in Minneapolis.
Before the 1:10 p.m. afternoon start between the Twins and Cincinnati Reds gets underway, NDSU players will be introduced and represented in a pre-game home run derby and highlight video inside the stadium. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by NDSU quarterbacks coach Randy Hedberg.
Gates will be open two hours prior to start time and the first 20,000 fans inside Target Field for the game will receive a Twins cap.
Later this summer, on Thursday, August 16th, it's NDSU Night at Target Field. The Twins will host the Detroit Tigers that night when custom yellow and green NDSU Twins caps fans will be available for fans with a valid NDSU ticket package. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the NDSU Alumni Association.
