Former Bismarck High and University of North Dakota standout Weston Dressler was instrumental in the Saskatchewan Roughriders' Grey Cup win over the weekend.

Dressler caught five passes for 81 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown pass, to help the Roughriders beat the Hamilton Wild Cats 45-23 in the Grey Cup, which is the Canadian Football League's championship game.

Dressler was signed by the Roughriders in 2008, after going undrafted by the NFL. He won the CFL Rookie of the Year award that same year and has been named to the CFL's West All-Star Team four of his six seasons with the Roughriders.

Dressler's jersey was retired by BHS in 2009.
