GoFundMe Set Up For North Dakota Family With Son Suffering From Burns
A young North Dakota boy and his family have had their lives changed by a fire in their home. The boy was badly burned, but the struggle is just beginning as the family relocates to support their injured son. There has been a donation page set up to help the family with some financial relief.
GoFundMe account has been set up for a toddler who is suffering from severe burns.
KVRR (Fargo) reports that two-year-old Royce Jankowski of Enderlin, North Dakota is facing a long road to recovery after being burned in a house fire. Police told KVRR that the fire seems to have started in his room. Royce's journey will be tough in many aspects, including financially. So there has been a GoFundMe account set up to help Royce and his family at this time.
According to the GoFundMe page, Royce was taken to the hospital in Lisbon, but later had to be airlifted to Minneapolis. The original post said that second-degree burns covered 34% of Royce's body. But the latest update actually says that Royce is suffering from third-degree burns.
Since he will have surgery and be recovering in the Cities, Royce's parents will temporarily relocate - which means they will not be working. Between not working and having a child with severe medical trauma, this will be a financial burden. So, the family has a GoFundMe account set up to raise money. The goal is $10,000.
