4 Pumpkin Colors You Will See In North Dakota & What They Mean
If you're like me, you're probably getting ready to load up on pumpkins and get ready to do a little Halloween decorating. You might be planning to do the traditional carving, but here's an idea: paint your pumpkins this year.
Did you know there are meanings behind all of the pumpkin colors? Here, let me break it down for you.
Pumpkin Color & Their Meanings Explained
1. Teal
While out trick-or-treating with your kids this year, you may notice some teal pumpkins on some Bismarck-Mandan doorsteps. According to Yahoo, this color pumpkin often signifies that the residents of the house give out non-food treats to be safe and inclusive to trick-or-treaters with food allergies.
2. Pink
If you see a pink pumpkin around Bismarck-Mandan, it's often a sign of support for Breast Cancer Awareness. As a matter of fact, if you paint your pumpkin PINK and upload a photo of it to the Hot 97.5, $2 will be donated to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.

3. Purple
Purple pumpkins are often meant as a way to show support for those affected by epilepsy and to encourage dialogue about the condition.
4. Green
If you see a green pumpkin, it is likely unripe and not fully developed. This color doesn't necessarily signify anything, but it sure does look cool.
Those are just a few of the different colored pumpkins you might see out on Halloween night, but I'm sure there will be many more.
