Help Lift A Mandan Woman Into Your Arms This Saturday

This is the "Wheelhouse of North Dakota" - People genuinely caring for one another...

...and it's one of my favorite things in the world to write about - I get to experience "North Dakota Nice" basically every day, and I have seen with my own eyes that North Dakotans will do whatever they can to help out their neighbor. This is another prime example of how lucky we are to live in Bismarck and Mandan.

A fun raising benefit for Kim Barnhardt THIS Saturday - June 10th

The Mandan Moose Lodge #425 is the place - 111 11th Ave NE, Mandan. Her daughter Brittany Barnhardt is putting this event on:

Hello all!
We are having a fund-raising benefit for Kim Barnhardt on June 10 th 3-7 at the Mandan Moose.
She had a stroke in March of this year and is now going through therapies and treatment to try to get back on her feet.

We are having a free-will donation meal (Sloppy Joe's) at the event. In addition to that we are having a silent and live auction as well as a bake sale at the event.

Had a chance to talk to Trever Himmelspach on the phone this afternoon...

...he is Kim's brother. He said he is touched by just how flooded they have been with support from the community - Kim managed the Kist Cafe for over 15 years, and no doubt has made a ton of friends and people who will be there this Saturday - Trevor also commented that they know that the Mandan Moose Lodge will be packed and over-flowing with love - and that my friend is exactly what Mandan, Bismarck, North Dakota is all about!
