Spam Calls In North Dakota: How Bad Is The Issue?
The holidays will be here before you know it, and I'm sure we will see a rise in spam calls. We dread it, don't we? We block number after number, we download apps to filter them out of our phones, we even get creative and try to spam these callers back, but it still happens and interferes with our daily lives.
It's a genuine concern, especially with AI voices and software out there. I got a spam call for the first time in a while the other day, and it got me thinking: do some states get targeted more than others? How bad is the robocall issue in North Dakota?
I did a little research and found that North Dakotans are not at all targeted more than other states. As a matter of fact, we might be better off than most.
According to Fox5ny.com, a report was published by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) looking at filed complaints and found that Alaska and North Dakota receive the fewest robocalls per capita.
In 2024, Alaska had 233, and North Dakota had 298.
That's a win, if I've ever heard one.
States With The Most Spam Calls
There are a few states that should brace themselves as we head into the holiday season, because they are about to get inundated with spam calls. Delaware, Ohio, and Arizona were found to have the highest number of robocall complaints last year.
Delaware - 885
Ohio - 849
Arizona - 813
Even though complaints are relatively low in North Dakota, stay vigilant and don't share any personal information over the phone this holiday season.
