Does North Dakota Prefer Real Or Fake Christmas Trees In 2025?

The holidays are almost here! I'm sure you've been running around like a crazy person getting all of your holiday shopping done, but let's take a minute to debate something.

Which do you prefer, a real or fake Christmas tree?

Look, I get the appeal of having a real tree beautifully decorated in your living room; there's something extra special about it. Though, in my opinion, real trees are kind of a hassle.

Let's look at the facts: You have to go out and get one, load it up in a truck, and squeeze it through your front door. Not only that, but you will be vacuuming nonstop all month, getting those pine needles out of your carpet. That's not even to mention the cost of real trees; they're pretty pricey.

So, no real trees are not for me.

I was curious how other North Dakotans felt about this, so I found a survey that was done, and according to the Christmas Tree Association, most North Dakotans are opting for fake trees in 2025. As a matter of fact, this is true for the entire country.

The source says people are choosing to go with fake trees because they are convenient, safe, inexpensive, and durable. You don't have to worry about a fake tree catching on fire, and you can use it year after year, until it starts looking like that little wimpy tree from a Charlie Brown Christmas.
