The Bismarck High Legacy Sabers Will Never Forget #42

It's NOT possible, it just CAN'T be

One day you see them out enjoying a late warm afternoon - larger-than-life. All it takes is an instant, literally a blink of an eye to change so many lives. One such horrible moment happened just two days ago, weather was not a factor. Local high school students looking forward to many long summer days ahead. The Bismarck Legacy Sabers lost #42 this day - April 23rd - around 1:00 in the afternoon. 18-year-old by the name of Logan Sampson.

Century Ave Crash Leads to Death of Motorcyclist

That was the headline of a media press release from the Bismarck Police Department:

"Officers responded to the area of the crash a little before 1:18 pm. Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old Bismarck man, ejected from his motorcycle with unsurvivable injuries. Bismarck Traffic Officers began to investigate the circumstances of the crash...a pickup driven by a 59-year-old man pulled out from Arizona Dr southbound making a left turn to travel east. The sports bike hit the front driver's side of the truck, and he was ejected from the motorcycle"  Bismarck Legacy Sabers Hockey Facebook page posted this:

"Thoughts and prayers go out to the Sampson family at this time. Just a horrible tragedy. Logan played two seasons of hockey at Legacy. Please lift this family, Logan's friends, and the students of Legacy High School up in prayer. #SABERS"

Logan Sampson

Logan Michael Sampson, 18, the son of Mike and Tanya Sampson, died on April 23, 2024.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Capital Ice Complex, Wachter Arena, Bismarck, ND.

A Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM with a Time of Sharing at 7:00 PM at Bismarck Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue at the Wachter Arena one hour prior to the service.
