Prostitution Ring Uncovered In A Mandan, North Dakota Business

A 70-year-old Chinese man was booked on Tuesday, March 18th at about 6:30 pm for running a prostitution ring from his business.

Peng, Weiming Ming Min has been charged with facilitating prostitution out of a business he owns "Relax Body Work and Spa" in Mandan. The massage parlor is located at 211 West Main Street.

According to the Bismarck Tribune, the groundwork began on this case back in June of 2024 after a man told police he was propositioned by a woman inside the business. Investigators then began surveillance of the property and interviewing male customers leaving the business.

It was determined that massages cost $50 dollars and another $50 dollars for sexual services at the business.

This led to a search warrant where it was also discovered that the business was also operating as an unlicensed spa facility, which led to another charge besides the prostitution charge.

Judge Jackson Lofgren has set bail at $15,000. Prosecutors had asked the judge for $20,000 dollars bail, saying that Peng, Weiming Ming Min is a flight risk, since he does not have a local residence. He's been living inside the business.

Peng's next court appearance is coming up on April 21st, where he will likely enter a plea at that time.

If convicted of the prostitution charge Peng could face 5 years in prison.

You would think that somebody who is in the later stages of his life (70 years old) would have better things to do. Now, if convicted Peng, Weiming Ming Min will be spending some of his remaining years behind bars.
