Katy Perry Paid $50K to Win a Date With Orlando Bloom
Katy Perry didn't let a little thing like Orlando Bloom being her real-life boyfriend stand in the way of winning a date with him at a charity auction on Sunday (December 2).
After performing at the One Love Malibu charity concert Sunday, Perry participated in the event's Christie's benefit auction, and ended up bidding $50,000 for a lunch date with her boo. Perry initially hyped up the prize, a motorcycle ride with Bloom to grab lunch, but in the end wasn't about to let anyone else hop on her baby's bike.
"That also means when you're on the motorcycle ride with him, you're holding him in a way that I am not excited about. You’re holding his pecs and his six-pack!" Katy said, introducing the experience up for auction. When a fan bid $20,000, Perry stepped in, more than doubling the value, and giving back to a great cause in the process.

Sunday's One Love Malibu benefit event helped raise money for Malibu-area residents affected by the recent California wildfires, the state's most destructive ever. One-hundred percent of proceeds from the concert event went to the Malibu Foundation to help the area rebuild.
Other stars who performed at the fundraiser included Gwen Stefani, Robin Thicke, Alanis Morissette, Macy Gray, and more.
