Kirk Cousins & Vikings Win On Monday Night! (VIDEO)

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins got the Monday Night Football monkey off his back.  Coming into the game, Cousins had the worst record in the history of Monday Night Football.  His record was 0-9.  Only Joe Namath 0-5 and Archie Manning 0-4 were even close.

When the dust settled at Soldier Field in Chicago, the Minnesota Vikings came away with a 19-13 victory.  The Vikings found a way to win despite not having a lot of success in the run game.  Superstar Dalvin Cook did rush for 96 yards, but it took him 30 carries to do that.  Instead, the Minnesota relied on the arm of quarterback Kirk Cousins.  Cousins was the star of the show, after watching Dalvin Cook the previous two weeks get all the accolades.   He completed 25-of-36 passes for 292 yards, a pair of touchdowns to Adam Thielen, and an interception, that was not his fault, as it went right through the hands of Thielen.  Rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson showed again last night, he was worth the first round pick.  Jefferson led the Vikings in receiving yardage, racking up 135 yards on eight catches. Thielen had 43 yards on four catches to go along with his two scores.

So what's up next for the Vikings?  They'll face the 2-7 Dallas Cowboys.  The Vikings have a favorable schedule the next three weeks.  After the Cowboys, the Vikings will face Carolina 3-7, and Jacksonville 1-8.  If the Vikings were to win those 3 games, they would be 7-5 and right back in the thick of the playoff hunt in the NFC.  Hard to believe, when this team was 1-5 a few weeks ago, and had a 5% chance of making the playoffs, according to the oddsmakers.  The Vikings are also a best 3-1 inside the division.  Time to start warming up that "SKOL" chant!
