For the first time since 1978, South Dakota defeated North Dakota State in Fargo 24-21, thanks to a last-second field goal from Miles Bergner.

South Dakota was also able to snap a 14-game Missouri Valley Football Conference losing streak with the win over NDSU, according to GoBison.com.

NDSU was led, once again, by quarterback Carson Wentz, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

Wide receiver Zach Vraa also had a big game, becoming NDSU's all-time leader in receiving yards with 2,738, after catching three passes for 35 yards.

South Dakota outgained the Bison by 75 yards, 390-325, to help secure the victory and hand NDSU their second loss of the season.

The Bison are on the road for the next two games. Next weekend, they'll head to Indiana to take on Indiana State.
