Some people are born to do something that very few will ever be able to accomplish, this magician was one for example. The way he performed, the way he could just drop 12,000 jaws all at once at a concert with his skills - Without a doubt, Eddie Van Halen was born to be one of the greatest performers of all-time. This morning in Santa Monica, California at the age of 65, the music world lost a giant, Eddie Van Halen passed away. He had been battling cancer for over a decade.

The course of the next few days, maybe even weeks the verbal accolades from countless peers will no doubt rain from all over the world. For the lucky ones who saw this marvel at work, it was something to behold - his innovative mind-bending power which propelled the rock band that displayed his family name - Van Halen.      For two decades their music was a gift to all of us and skyrocketed the band to the top of the album charts. Variety reported that Eddie's 29-year-old son Wolf announced the news “He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss,”     I am CERTAIN the music world won't either.
