Maryland Governor Sends Gov. Dalrymple Box of Crab Cakes
When the Bison won their third straight FCS Championship a few weeks ago, Governor Dalrymple also won and now he can officially celebrate.
Before the game between NDSU and Towson, Governor Dalrymple made a friendly bet with Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley: If NDSU won, O'Malley would send Dalrymple a box of Maryland crab cakes. If Towson won, Dalrymple would ship O'Malley a case of Dreamfields pasta.
Well, NDSU won 35-7 and now Governor Dalrymple gets to devour a box of delicious Maryland crab cakes. Here's what Dalrymple had to say about his win:
I knew all along I would be enjoying these delicious crab cakes and have been anxiously awaiting their arrival.
There was no doubt that the Bison would top off their perfect season with a third national title, and because of that impressive accomplishment, Betsy and I will be able to enjoy these award-winning crab cakes compliments of Gov. O’Malley. Thank you to Gov. O’Malley for being a good sport and congratulations to Coach Rob Ambrose and the Towson Tigers on an exciting championship match up.
