Rest easy, Vikings fans. Stefon Diggs just signed a contract extension that will keep him in Minnesota as part of one of the most dynamic wide receiver combos in the NFL.

On Tuesday, Diggs and the Vikings agreed to a new five-year deal worth $72 million, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Diggs could receive as much as $81 million through the deal with $40 million guaranteed.

The new deal is on par with some of the top wide receivers in the league such as the Kansas City Chiefs' Sammy Watkins and Los Angeles Rams' Brandin Cooks.

The deal also guarantees that Diggs will line up on offense with Adam Thielen, the other side of that aforementioned 'dynamic wide receiver combo', over the next few seasons. Somewhere, Kirk Cousins is smiling.

Even if you haven't followed Diggs throughout his career, you probably know him as the receiver that made that incredible play on the 'Minneapolis Miracle,' a 61-yard touchdown reception on the final play to beat the New Orleans Saints in last year's NFC Divisional round in the NFL playoffs.

In his three seasons, Diggs has 2,472 receiving yards on 200 catches and 15 touchdowns.

As for one more reminder of what kind of receiver the Vikings just retained, here's that play we mentioned, known as the 'Minneapolis Miracle.'
