A strange breaking news story about Minnesota Vikings Everson Griffen

An alarming release of screenshots and text messages from Minnesota Vikings Everson Griffen early this morning ( Wednesday, November 24th ). Minnesota's defensive end had stated that he believed someone was trying to kill him.

Griffen had posted a video of him holding a gun, sent text messages to his agent

Scary text messages from Everson Griffen to his agent late last night asking for help, adding that he feared someone was trying to kill him. According to profootballtalk.nbcsports.com "The Vikings have issued a statement on defensive end Everson Griffen, who posted a video and screenshots of text messages to social media that alleged someone was attempting to kill him early Wednesday morning"

Vikings representatives and the team's mental health professionals have been at the home of Everson Griffen almost immediately

This is obviously a delicate matter that the Minnesota Vikings organization is handling with extreme care. There has been some history of Griffen's mental health issues. Back in 2018, he missed five games. If you are wondering if he has had a concussion in the past, the answer is yes. that was actually this season due to a car accident ( he swerved to avoid hitting a deer ).

Minnesota Vikings released a statement this morning

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had a short comment, talking about how long Griffen has been with the team. The statement the Minnesota Vikings made it clear of their concerns “Our only concern at this time is the safety and well-being of Everson and his family. We will have further comment at the appropriate time.”

A delicate matter indeed, mental health is always a serious issue, never to be taken lightly
