Minnesotans To Legally “Toke It Up” – Is This Going To Happen?
I promise you I am trying to "roll with the current times"...
...AND I will not be a "Stick in the mud" - of course ROLL and STICK can be tied to this popular action - smoking pot - marijuana, ganja, doobie. I remember back in the old days, as a kid, watching The Brady Bunch on television, shocked and horrified when his parents found a pack of cigarettes in the pocket of his jacket. The times have certainly changed.
Seems like yesterday when I heard that stores were legally selling marijuana in California
This of course came to be when according to cannabis.ca.gov "California became the first state to allow medicinal cannabis use when voters passed the Compassionate Use Act in 1996. Today, cannabis is legal in California for both medicinal and adult (recreational) use." Well today is April 26, 2023, and almost half the country can now smoke pot legally - 22 States are currently getting high.
Minnesota is hoping soon to make that list
Very soon residents of Minnesota may soon be lighting up legally - cbsnews.com reported this morning "The Minnesota House on Tuesday passed a 300-page bill that would allow adults 21 and older to buy, sell and use marijuana, joining nearly two dozen other states that have legalized the cannabis plant for recreational use" Check it out, the vote wasn't even that close - 71-59 in favor to "Toke it up" Obviously this would be a plus for those seeking the freedom to get high in their own homes, but Minnesota would definitely cash in on new businesses selling pot.
"Gov. Tim Walz intends to sign the bill once it gets to his desk" - cbsnews.com
So soon Minnesotans will be singing this little tune...
