I will be the first to say that I have no authority on child rearing, but I would hope that I would never lose a child. In all my younger years of babysitting and nannying, I was successful in that. The news report says that the toddler was found wandering around a parking lot, all alone, in only a diaper. I believe it was two summers ago that I found the little kid. I was living in Grand Forks, heading to my apartment, when I spotted this toddler out of the corner of my eye. I actually drove right past, not registering the fact that I saw a small child outside with not adult in sight. Long story short, I called the police and sat with him until his sisters frantically ran out of their place - he escaped the back yard. It was all over in less than 15 minutes. But it was so weird, to say the least.
