The crime against cattle continues in Sioux County as officials say a rancher of two cows reported finding the cows shot in his pasture near Cannon Ball, N.D.

One cow was shot with a small caliber firearm while the other was shot with several arrows. Both cows were treated by a veterinarian. These incidents follow two earlier cases involving several dead and missing animals in the area.

The North Dakota Stockman’s Association (NDSA) has a reward of $14,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved in these crimes. Anyone with information about this or any livestock-related case should call NDSA Chief Brand Inspector Stan Misek at (701) 223-2522 or (701) 720- 2430 or Sioux County Sheriff Frank Landeis at (701) 854-3481.
