NDSU Knows Their First Playoff Opponent in 2018 FCS Playoffs
The North Dakota State Bison had a first round bye in the 2018 FCS Playoffs and their second round opponent was determined on Saturday afternoon (November 24th).
The Montana State Bobcats jumped all over the Incarnate Word Cardinals in a 35-14 victory to advance to a date with the North Dakota State Bison at the Fargodome next Saturday.
The Bobcats cinched the game in the 4th quarter when Travis Jonsen scored out of the Wildcat formation from 19 yards out to push the score to 28-14. Montana State quarterback Troy Anderson passed for 164 yards on 12 of 19 and a touchdown. Bobcats running back led the team in rushing with 139 yards on 29 carries. Montana State finished with 332 yards rushing total.
The Montana State Bobcats move to 8-4 while the Incarnate Word Cardinals finish at 6-5. The Bobcats will play North Dakota State at the Fargodome on Saturday, December 1st at 2 p.m. The game can be streamed on ESPN3.
