After Carson Wentz went down with a wrist injury, North Dakota State fans across the country were worried about how the team would fare without their star quarterback. Those fears subsided, though, after NDSU beat Indiana State 28-14 on Saturday, October 24th.

Redshirt freshman Easton Stick took Wentz's placed and filled in admirably, throwing for 126 yards and one touchdown. The young QB also ran for 124 yards with two touchdowns, meaning he accounted for 3/4 of the Bison's scoring against the Sycamores.

Running back Chase Morlock added a touchdown to help the Bison pull out the victory.

The Sycamores were led by running back Matt Adam, who ran for 75 yards and one touchdown on eight rushes.

The Bison will be without Wentz for 6-8 weeks, after it was announced he had a broken bone in his wrist earlier this week.

The Bison are on the road again next week, this time heading to Carbondale, IL to take on Southern Illinois.
