Prior to this year, there had never been a game that went to overtime at the Fargo Dome. This year, there has yet to be a game that didn't go to overtime.

Following a week one win over Charleston Southern, and a bye last week, NDSU played another nail biter at the Fargo Dome Saturday afternoon against Eastern Washington.

NDSU jumped out to a 7-0 on an 8-yard touchdown run from King Frazier just past the midway point of the first quarter.

At halftime, NDSU held a 21-14 lead. The Bison held a lead for most of the game until the 4th quarter as Eastern Washington was able to muster up a 44-41 victory.

With 10 seconds left in regulation, Eastern Washington had an opportunity for the victory but kicker Jordan Dascalo shanked the 39 yard field goal.

The Bison took over possession and chose to run a play rather than take a knee to go straight to overtime. This was a risky endeavor as King Frazier after receiving a hand off attempted to lateral the ball has he got tackled and the lateral hit the turf and was scooped up by Eastern Washington.

Fortunately, the Bison were able to make a tackle and the game went to overtime.

Eastern Washington has the first possession of overtime and on the second play the Bison took stopped the drive short courtesy of a Tre Dempsey interception.

Then on the Bison's first play of overtime, just like in week one, a 25-yard touchdown run, this time by Lance Dunn, sealed the 50-44 victory for NDSU.

The Bison will play the University of Iowa next week in Iowa City. The University of Iowa is in the FBS and is a member of the Big Ten Conference.
