New Kids on the Block’s Joey McIntyre Sued After Car Accident

Joey McIntyre is being sued after he allegedly rear-ended another vehicle two years ago, TMZ reports.

According to the site, a man named Surendra Patel filed the lawsuit, which claims that McIntyre slammed into Patel's vehicle while driving in Burbank, California, two years ago. The documents apparently claim that the NKOTB singer was driving "negligently, carelessly [and] recklessly."

TMZ allegedly spoke to a different member of the Patel family, who revealed that all five passengers in the car were "badly hurt" at the time. Two of the passengers included children. The Patels are suing McIntyre for medical expenses, lost earnings, property damage and pain and suffering, TMZ claims.

In addition to his role as the youngest member of New Kids on the Block, McIntyre has also starred on Broadway and has enjoyed successful solo and acting careers.
