How North Dakotans Can Make An AI Action Figure Doll
I'm sure you've seen the trend all over Facebook. People are posting pictures of action figure dolls that look like them and come with cute accessories that fit their personality or occupation.
You've seen these, right? The one pictured above is one of our radio hosts, Rick Rider.
I loved this, so naturally I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I struggled getting mine to work. I asked friends, I googled it, and got different responses.
To help you if you're struggling like I initially did, I put together some step-by-step instructions, so you can figure it out and show the world your very own action figure.
1. You will need to open ChatGPT and create an account.
2. Click the + button and upload a couple of photos of yourself. It's best to do one face and one full body pic.
3. Use this prompt with the images:
"Please create an image of an action figure in packaging. The packaging should be labeled [YOUR TITLE TEXT] with a smaller sub header that says [YOUR SMALL TEXT].
Make the packaging [YOUR COLOR CHOICE]. Use the attached photos for the character's face and body. He/She has [YOUR FEATURES] and comes with [YOUR ACCESSORIES]."
4. Hit Enter.
Take it a Step Further
You could even add a little more to the prompt and tell ChatGPT to give your packaging a North Dakota theme. Maybe it will put the Capitol building in the background, or give you a little snow.
Keep in mind, it may take a while for it to generate your image, so be patient. Once you've created your character, share it with all of your friends and send it to us in the app.
I finally did mine, but the face looked completely wrong, so I had to do it a couple of times. You may have that issue too, so keep at it. Also, remember you can only upload pictures to ChatGPT once a day if you have the standard free plan, so pick the best pictures.
