North Dakota Desperately Needs One Of These
We're always looking for fun things to do in North Dakota, and we're always trying to find ways to get people from other states excited to come visit.
We have parks, malls, concerts, "World's Largest" everything, but I think there is one thing we're missing.
I know in Bismarck we have the Dakota Zoo, and I know in Minot we have the Roosevelt Park Zoo. Fargo has the Red River Zoo, and we also have the Garrison Dam Fish Hatchery and Aquarium.
Even though we have all of those amazing things, I think it would be very cool to have something a little grander.

North Dakota Needs This
What if we had a giant, stand-alone aquarium? How fun would that be?!
Don't ask me about the logistics of getting all of the large fish and sharks to North Dakota, because I don't care. We're just dreaming today.
I will say that transport should only happen in the summer months. Could you imagine a truck with large fish skidding on some North Dakota ice? An overturned semi with a shark flopping on the road would be quite a sight.
Beyond that potential risk, I think we're golden. If the Mall of America can do it, so can we.
Imagine the kiddos walking through tunnels with sharks swimming above their heads. How great would it be to not have to travel far and wide to give them this kind of experience? Birthday parties, field trips --the possibilities are endless.
Let's not forget about the job opportunities. Experts will travel to North Dakota to work at such a facility, and other North Dakotans would probably love to have such a cool job.
While I know this is a big dream, and this will probably never happen, I'd nonetheless like to plant the seed. As they say, we'll just keep swimming the idea around.
Let's bring a big fish aquarium to North Dakota!
