
Smoke Detector Recall: North Dakota Homeowners Beware
If you're like me (a wonderful cook), you have a love-hate relationship with your smoke detector. Obviously, we need them in our homes, but does it really need to go off every time I turn on my stovetop?

Joking aside, smoke detectors save lives, and you always want to know yours is working. Recently, there was a product recall involving thousands of smoke detectors that could affect many North Dakotans. The flawed smoke detectors were sold online, through Amazon. Safety experts are urging people to take a closer look at them.
Recall Brand & Model Numbers
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, 11,000 LSHOME 3-pack Smoke Detector Fire Alarms have a flaw. Some units might not sound an alarm when they should.

According to the recall, the detectors are white and circular in shape. The affected units have these two numbers printed on the bottom side.

If you've recently purchased a new smoke detector online, you probably take a look at them when you get home from work today. Better to be safe than sorry. The Product Safety Commission says it will be offering refunds for the defective devices.
