The 2016 college football season will begin in North Dakota, as the ESPN FCS Kickoff will originate from the FargoDome on Saturday, August 27th, when NDSU takes on Charleston Southern.

ESPN made the announcement earlier today. It will mark the 11th time that NDSU has had a nationally televised game on ESPN or ESPN2 since 2011, according to a post on the Bison's Facebook page, which you can see below:

The Bison have won the last five FCS championships, creating a dynasty in Fargo. Meanwhile, Charleston Southern is the defending Big South champion.

NDSU also announced that they have reached an agreement to play a game against Robert Morris University in 2017.
