All the Times Taylor Swift Has Come to North Dakota (So Far)

We are above and beyond excited about this Taylor Swift news that surfaced late last night. I'm sure you heard that Taylor Swift shared a teaser clip, appearing on Travis and Jason Kelce's "New Heights" podcast, telling fans that she will soon release her 12th studio album.

In the preview, she said the album would be named "The Life of a Showgirl". Swifties have been pointing out several easter eggs from the clip, and are trying to theorize what the album will sound like, be about, who it will feature, and when it might possibly drop. The theories are fun to listen to, but ultimately, I think we will have to wait until tomorrow evening when the podcast episode drops to get the details.

In any case, with the release of a new Taylor Swift album, we can expect to see a tour come of it in the future. How near or far away that may be is unclear.

The idea of a new Taylor tour got me thinking about all the times Taylor has come to perform in North Dakota.

Did you know that all the way back in 2009, when Taylor was only 19, she came to the North Dakota State Fair? According to Setlist.fm, she performed several songs from her Fearless album: Tim McGraw, You Belong With Me, Teardrops on My Guitar, and Love Story.

According to The Grand Forks Herald, Swift also performed at the Fargodome a couple of times. She stopped there in 2013 for her Red tour, then again in late 2014 for her 1989 tour. Both times, it was a sold-out show.

Those are the only North Dakota shows I could track down, but she has been nearby a few times, too.

She once performed at the North Dakota State Fair in 2009, according to the NDSF website.

Even more recently, tons of North Dakotans flocked to Minneapolis to see her on her Eras Tour.

Hopefully, when she hits the road again, she will make a stop there.  North Dakotans need another Taylor Swift fix soon.
