Beginning today, November 12th, the state of North Dakota will be issuing license plates with a new design to its drivers.

The new design was unveiled during a press conference today in Bismarck, according to InForum:

As you can see in the above tweet, the 'Sunrise Plate' is replacing the Buffalo Plate, which has been in circulation for 23 years.

Here's what NDDOT Deputy Director for Driver and Vehicles Services Mark Nelson had to say about the new plates, according to a press release:

This is a momentous event as we begin the process of replacing the North Dakota license plate with a newly designed plate. We issue over one million motor vehicle registrations a year, it will take time to replace plates on nearly every vehicle across the state and we ask everyone to be patient as we work through this new process.

So, what do you think?
