PA Robber Flees After Elderly Victim Hollers Fearsome Words

A robber trying to dispossess an elderly woman of her belongings in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania dropped his gun and ran, after his victim spooked him by yelling a simple, yet (for him) horrifying, phrase.

When the robber set on the quick-thinking lady in the parking lot of a Punxy Plaza Uni-Mart early on Friday (Oct. 23), she stunned him by shouting out, "There's the police!"

Frightened by the prospect of getting caught, the robber simply dropped his gun, which the lady then kicked under a nearby vehicle. The robber fled the scene.

Arriving at the scene soon after, Punxsutawney authorities discovered that the weapon, while it appeared to be a pistol, was in fact only a BB gun; they are still on the lookout for the fugitive robber.
