Officers flying in a helicopter over the Dakota Access Pipeline Sunday morning (Oct.23rd) say they fear for their lives as a drone approached the chopper in a threatening manner.

The incident happened about 11 a.m. according to officials as police say there were two situations of a drone flying at or around the police helicopter or plane in a threatening manner.

Officers reacted by firing a minimal form of ammunition at the drone, when the operator of the drone then landed the air craft.

The two operators of the drones were arrested for various charges and the Morton County officials say they violated FAA rules.
