30 models, 30 one of a kind prom dresses, an amazing prom planning committee, businesses across Bismarck-Mandan and HOT 975 united for Prom Extravaganza 2013. Prom Extravaganza 2013 attracted 200 plus attendees from Bismarck,Mandan, Jamestown,Minot,New Salem,Elgin,Beulah and other surrounding towns. The event was the brainchild of business owners Roma and Scott Newton who own Meriweather Trade and Gift Shop at 116 East Main in Mandan. Meriweather Trade and Gift Shop is the first business in Mandan to carry prom dresses.

Today fashion history was made as models showcased prom styles such as short cocktails, to embellished A-line gowns with layers and corsets, to satin gowns with cut out and jeweled detailing, ruched bodices with flared layers that you could pull off and change a long dress into a short dress, colors that popped, sparkled and guaranteed you will steal the show at prom 2013.

Thank you to all of the local businesses that brought the day to life. Thank you to the models who are inspiration for young people everywhere.Thank you to the Prom Extravaganza committee for bringing this dynamic event to life and for making HOT 975 a part of this moment.
