It was my great pleasure to welcome Coach Nick Hinsz and members of the Bismarck Capitals team into the Cool 98.7 radio studio this Thursday morning.  There was time enough to congratulate the victories that earned the team the Midwest Plains Division Championship. You can listen to the entire in-studio interview below.

But now is the time to rally together and raise some money!

The Capitals and their families had to figure out how they're going to get from Bismarck to Eagle Pass Texas!  It's over 1,400 miles away- not your average road trip.  So, there all gonna have to fly and they're going to need a financial boost Bismarck.

How can you contribute to the effort?

The easiest way is to simply bring your cash to the Scheels Baseball Complex next to Shiloh school beginning 5:30 PM on Thursday 8/5.  Here's rundown from the Bismarck Capitals Facebook page.

Come meet the Bismarck Capitals Babe Ruth 15U North Dakota State Champions, Midwest Plains Regional Champions, and 2021 World Series bound team, before they head to Eagle Pass!
Hotdogs, chips, drinks and freeze pops will be provided and a free will donation is greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go directly to the players to support their trip expenses.
Players will be there to play yard games and spend time with the youth of our community. Kids are encouraged to bring their gloves. (No bats, please)
The meet and greet will go on until 8 PM tonight.  It's the best way to contribute because you get a freeze pop!  But if you can't make it tonight, your contributions are still appreciated online at
Honestly, you'll also find that donate link on the teams Facebook page and then you'll be able to see all the stellar businesses and individuals that have donated so far including the good folks at Coca Cola and Cloverdale for providing the grub for tonight's meet and greet.
Here's the World Series schedule where it appears Bismarck will face the host team from Eagle Pass in game 1.  Bismarck knows better than to sleep on the host city!
Here's this morning's radio talk with the team.  It's four minutes that'll prove to you how this team is going to make us proud.
Because they already have!
