After we spent most of the weekend under the weather, my fiance and I decided to catch a late movie last night. After watching a few trailers on the phone, we decided to see the latest Adam Sandler flick at the AMC Classic theater

I've loved Adam Sandler since childhood and my fiance seems to only tolerate his stuff sometimes. I mean, he DID take me to see the Adam Sandler and Friends standup tour when we lived in Denver. So, maybe my fiance actually kind of enjoys Adam Sandler. I digress. Now, let me tell you, we were BOTH blown away by this movie.

I'll let https://www.rottentomatoes.com/ outline Uncut Gems for you:

"From acclaimed filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie, comes an electrifying crime thriller about Howard Ratner (Adam Sandler), a charismatic New York City jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score. When he makes a series of high-stakes bets that could lead to the windfall of a lifetime, Howard must perform a precarious high-wire act, balancing business, family, and encroaching adversaries on all sides, in his relentless pursuit of the ultimate win."

You read that right, The Sandman is the star of a crime-thriller. I don't always agree with Rotten Tomatoes' ratings, but this movie deserved its 92% rating. My nerves don't usually get to me unless I'm watching something scary. But Uncut Gems was so gripping, I was on the edge of my seat and holding my breath nearly the entire movie. Every second in the 135-minute movie is thrilling.

Whether you're an Adam Sandler fan or not, you'll be amazed by his work in Uncut Gems.
