Two local area high schools advanced this week and will play in the semifinals in the North Dakota High School Division AAA football playoffs on Friday, November 3rd.

Bismarck High got three third-quarter touchdowns from junior Isaiah Olsen and the Demons defense dominated, forcing a plethora of turnovers, including four interceptions and not to mention four sacks from Canyon Stonecipher that turned into a 42-15 victory over Fargo South.

The Demons (8-2), the #2 seed out of the West Region will play at West Fargo (10-0), the #1 seed in the East Region after they cruised to a 49-7 victory over Legacy. Bismarck and West Fargo will play Friday night at 7 p.m.

Bismarck Century High came back from 14 points down in the second half and scored the games final 17 points capped off by a game-winning 37-yard field goal from Austin Underhill to top Fargo Davies, 24-21. Century quarterback Jakob Olson rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns while throwing for 164 yards to lead the offense in the comeback victory.

Century (9-1), the #1 seed in the West Region will host the #3 West seed, Minot (7-3), as they trounced West Fargo Sheyenne, 66-37. Century and Minot will play at 7 p.m. on Friday night at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
