KFYR-TV is reporting the once popular spa in Bismarck is being sued by the North Dakota Attorney General's office.

Spa D'Athena  in Bismarck closed doors and left many customers holding worthless gift cards totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. The doors closed with very little notice.

The AG office says the spa has violated consumer trust which lead to the filings of a consumer fraud investigation after close to 1400 consumer complaints flooded the government agency.

The outstanding balance of the gift cards total $182,000.

The suit filed is asking the court to have Spa D'Athena refund the customers, monies owed.

The attorney general’s office is asking people to contact their office to file a complaint if they haven't yet and are still owed money from worthless gift cards.
