Starving Rooster Closes In Bismarck

BISMARCK, N.D. - According to KFYR-TV-The Starving Rooster in Bismarck closes its doors Sunday. They released this statement to customers on social media:

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you our Capital City Rooster restaurant will close its doors effective February 24th, 2020. We greatly appreciate our team members and guests over the past few years. If you purchased a gift card from us, the gift card is still active and available to be used in our Minot, ND location...

This was a shock to most employees.  One team member that I spoke to said there was no indication that store had any plans to close.  Business had been slow, but in the winter months that is pretty typical for many restaurants.

Social media was full of threads on the Starving Rooster Sunday night.  This establishment was clearly a Bismarck Mandan favorite.
