Study Shows That North Dakota Teens Are Horrible Drivers
A new study shows that North Dakota teens are some of the worst drivers in the nation.
According to the study done by our friends at WalletHub, during the summer months, an average of six teenagers die every day from motor vehicle injuries. For each state, the number of teen fatalities, teen DUIs, the average cost of car repairs, the presence of impaired-driving laws and several other relevant metrics were factored in to determine where states throughout the U.S. would rank on the list. The overall statistical evidence had North Dakota ranked as the 6th worst state for teen drivers.
Given the fact that months ago, North Dakota ranked as being in the top ten overall for the worst drivers in the country, this really isn't much of a surprise.
Here's where North Dakota teen drivers ranked in the following categories with a '1' being the best, and '25' being average:
- 46th – Teen Driver Fatalities per Teen Population
- 42nd – Teen DUIs per Teen Population
- 47th – Vehicle Miles Traveled per Capita
- 28th – Presence of Occupant-Protection Laws
- 31st – Presence of Impaired-Driving Laws
Finishing with an overall worse ranking for teen drivers on the list were: Nebraska, Missouri, Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming being the overall worst in the nation. New York finished as the over best state for teen drivers.
