If you waited, you have one more day to file your 2017 taxes.

The deadline has been extended to 11:59 p.m., Today, April 18th due to a major computer glitch on Tuesday, according to DontMessWithTaxes.com.

There were problems reported with the computer system at the IRS. Many people who tried to file before the deadline on Tuesday saw this message from the IRS system, “This service is currently unavailable".

The outage did not affect everyone as some people were able to file without an issue, but to be safe and fair to all, the IRS has extended to deadline to 11:59 p.m., today, Tuesday, April 18th.

And the good news is, you don't have to do anything to get the extension, such as file for an extension, the grace period is extended to everyone.

Good Luck!
