The statistics are in. Is your vehicle safe from theft? Maybe not so much if you drive a pickup.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau has filed a report on the most stolen vehicles in 2015. Based on their findings, pickups seem to be very popular with auto thieves. According to a list posted at pickuptrucks.com, throughout the U.S., three of the top six stolen vehicles of any year, make, and model are pickup trucks. Those vehicles being the 2006 Ford F-Series, the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2001 Dodge Ram.

Not only does the list include the most stolen vehicles in the U.S., but also the most stolen vehicles by state. In North Dakota, the top 10 vehicles stolen in 2015 are listed as follows:

Based on the report, it would appear that if you happen to drive a pickup, you could be susceptible to bad guys wanting to take your vehicle. Be careful out there!
