The Heritage Center Displays Gratitude Train Boxcar [VIDEO]

One unique Thank You gift is now on display at the Heritage Center.

The Gratitude Train boxcar was given to the State of North Dakota from the French Government after WWII. After the war, the US sent more than $40 million in supplies over to France and Italy to help them rebuild after the war. Soon after, the French returned the favor, sending 49 boxcars back to the US (one for each state) as a Thank You gift for helping them post-war.
